WWE Raw 4/13 Show Preview
Raw is live from the WWE Performance Center for the first time in weeks. Get ready for some live wrestling predictions! Although there is a stay at home order in Florida, the WWE continues to run their shows. Raw having any superstars in attendance is a shocker since WWE announced this weekend an on-air talent has been confirmed positive for the coronavirus. Although wrestling fans everywhere would love new shows every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, there is a ton of criticism towards WWE for being reckless with their talent as every other sports and entertainment company has been shut down for weeks.
WWE has always done what they wanted to do and it seems like unless something catastrophic happens to one of their stars, RAW, Smackdown, and NXT will be business as usual. There has not been much announced for Raw this week but both of the red brand’s main champions are scheduled to appear.
What’s Next For The WWE Champion?
The ending to Monday Night Raw last week was chaotic to say the least. We were taken back to right after Drew Mcintyre’s win over Brock Lesnar on night two of Wrestlemania. McIntyre came back to the ring to have his first interview as WWE Champion and was interrupted by the Big Show. Big Show proceeded to challenge the newly crowned champ for his title. McIntyre finally agreed after being antagonized by the 7 foot superstar and in his SECOND match of the night, McIntyre barely retained the WWE Title.
So after vanquishing Brock Lesnar and the Big Show on the same night, what is next for Drew McIntyre? Raw has multiple superstars ready to contend for the WWE Championship. Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles are all viable contenders to McIntyre’s title. Another challenger could be Edge, who recently returned from a 9 year hiatus from the business. Drew will have no shortage of challengers and Raw will thrive with him as champion due to all these fresh potential matchups.
“The Man” Speaks!
Becky Lynch has held the Raw Women’s Championship for over a year now. She won it from Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania 35 and has beaten every challenger that has come along. She successfully defended the title again at Wrestlemania last week against Rousey’s best friend, Shayna Baszler. So the question now is what’s next for Lynch? A betting man would say her feud with Baszler is far from over so don’t be surprised if that continues tonight.
They had a pretty even match at ‘Mania with Lynch pulling off a win out of nowhere. And with no obvious challengers on the Raw brand at the moment, I see WWE getting some more miles out of Lynch versus Baszler. Becky Lynch is scheduled to address the WWE Universe on Raw so answers to what is next for her are not far away.
