The New England Patriots head to Miami coming off a long week off rest. The Patriots had over a week off as they played TNF in which they lost against the Rams in blowout fashion. Meanwhile, the Dolphins are coming off a tough loss to the reigning Super Bowl Champs.

The New England Patriots have had a tough season, but they are not eliminated from playoff contention as of yet. If they do lose this game in Miami, they will be officially eliminated from contention, something that hasn’t happened to the Patriots since 2008. Bill Belichick does have some confidence coming in, as his career record facing rookie QB’s is 26-5. Belichick and the Pats crushed Justin Herbert and the Chargers a few weeks ago, but will they crush Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins?
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are having a heck of a year, and it’s not close to over yet. The Dolphins have a tough schedule ahead, but look to win-out in hopes of making the playoffs. Heading into the Week 15 game against New England, Miami sits at the 7th seed with an 8-5 record. The Dolphins lost last week, but showed tons of hope as they got to Patrick Mahomes, a very hard thing to do.
Cam Newton has turned the ball over a lot this year, and expect his struggles to continue against a tough Dolphins Defense. Miami CB Xavien Howard leads the NFL in interceptions with 9, and has arguably been the best cornerback this year. When Miami faced Cam Newton in Week 1, Newton ran all over them en route to the Patriots 21-11 win. Now that the Dolphins know Newton’s gameplan and have figured out their defense, expect the Dolphins to give Cam nightmares on Sunday, something that didn’t happen in Week 1. Also, expect the usual DeVante Parker breakout game against the Pats.
