The red hot Yankees continue to amaze, winning their last 15 of 16 games, and now come in to face a familiar foe in the Boston Red Sox. In their last meeting, emotions were running high the entire series. This included the benches clearing multiple times and also a bench clearing brawl. Just about a month ago the Yankees were almost 8 games out of the division, however that is not the case anymore. The Yankees come into this series only 1 game back which puts much pressure onto both teams this series.
Many people thought this would be a challenging stretch for the Yankees as they faced some of the hottest teams in the MLB at the time, including the defending champion Houston Astros. The Yankees did what they do best by playing the underdog and showing the success that they have been displaying for the past 2 months.
With the addition of a couple young studs into the lineup such as Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar, the Yankees will come with a more aggressive approach. Nothing seems to stop this offense, not even in late inning games.
The Yankees are red hot right now and the Red Sox look to keep the Yankees in second place. This three game series will definitely be one to watch and one to show who belongs atop the AL East.
