WWE Raw 5/4 Show Preview
It’s the last Monday Night Raw before the Money In The Bank(MITB) pay per view and questions are still looming. Will Murphy slow the momentum of WWE Champion Drew McIntyre before McIntyre’s match with Seth Rollings at MITB? Who will replace Apollo Crews in the men’s MITB match? Who exactly is in the gauntlet match to determine his replacement? Raw will have all those answers and more information regarding the pay per view.
Drew McIntyre vs. Murphy
After getting involved in the WWE championship contract signing last week on Raw, Murphy will now have to face the champion himself in a one on one match. Murphy tried to assist his mentor, Seth Rollins, during the confrontation last week and paid for it with a claymore kick courtesy of Drew McIntyre. The Champ, McIntyre, facing off against the young upstart Murphy can only mean good things for Seth Rollins. Murphy is very talented and will be a formidable challenge for McIntyre just days before he defends his title against Rollins.
Rollins is hoping McIntyre’s match with Murphy will have some lasting effects that will linger into their match on Sunday. This is all new territory for McIntyre as this is first reign as heavyweight champion while Rollins has been the champ on more than one occasion. Not many play head games like Rollins so expect some antics from him during the McIntyre/Murphy match. McIntyre versus Murphy will be a fun match that is likely to main event the go-home Raw before MITB.
Last Chance Money In The Bank Gauntlet Match
Apollo Crews knee injury on last week’s Raw has thrown a wrench in the men’s MITB match. But fortunately, that problem will be solved on this edition of Raw as there will be a gauntlet match to determine who will replace the injured Crews. The participants of the match have yet to be announced but many are assuming the participants will be the losers of the previous Raw MITB qualifying matches. I expect a surprise or two in this match as a number of BIG Raw superstars have been absent lately and now would be the perfect opportunity to make a big splash. While McIntyre and Murphy will probably main event Raw, this match is what will have everyone talking when the show wraps up Monday night.
