Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier – UFC Heavyweight Championship

Stipe Miocic versus Daniel Cormier will face off for the UFC Heavyweight Championship for the third time and it is arguably the biggest fight in the division’s history. Both men own a KO/TKO victory over the other so this is the rubber match. Also, it is possibly Daniel Cormier’s last fight of his career. He has stated in several interviews that he would like to go out on top, like very few do, and this is his opportunity to do so.
Before losing to Miocic last year, Cormier had previously only lost ONE fight in his career and that loss was in 2015 against arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time, Jon “Bones” Jones. Also before his loss to Miocic, 2015 was the last time a fight went past the third round in which Cormier was involved.
Miocic’s last two fights have been against Daniel Cormier so essentially he’s been preparing for the same fight for 3 years. How often does an someone get to train 3 YEARS for one opponent? And Miocic has to feel good coming in as he won the last fight against Cormier with a fourth round knockout.
This fight will not go the distance. If your look at both men’s combined fights in the past 5 years, only ONE went the distance. It’ll go a few rounds but once these men both start to fatigue, one of them is getting knocked out. And with Miocic having the same training camp for 3 straight years and Cormier essentially on his way out, I think Miocic proves that last year’s knockout was no fluke. Stipe Miocic BY KO in 4th.
