Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje – Interim Lightweight Championship Fight

Although this is not the fight UFC fans expected when UFC 249 was originally announced, they are still in for a treat when Tony Ferguson faces off against Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight championship. Ferguson was originally supposed to face UFC Lightweight Champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, at this event when it was scheduled for April. But everything changed when the COVID-19 pandemic started and Khabib is stuck overseas. Believe it or not, this is the FIFTH time a fight between Ferguson and Khabib has been cancelled. Now Ferguson will fight Gaethje to crown a interim champion.
Regardless of the situation, Gaethje will be a tough fight for Ferguson. Gaethje has been on a roll lately, winning 3 straight fights by knockout. But Tony Ferguson is be one of the most complete fighters the UFC has ever seen. He hasn’t lost a fight since 2012 and is on a 12 fight win streak. Expect Ferguson to submit Gaethje in the Round 3.
Henry Cejudo vs. Dominick Cruz – Bantamweight Championship Fight

Dominick Cruz: 22-2-0
The UFC Bantamweight Champion, Henry Cejudo, defends his title against a man who has not fought in nearly 4 years in Dominick Cruz. Cruz lost his last fight back in 2016 but before that, he had won every fight in his 5 year UFC career. Cejudo comes into this fight winning his last 5, the last 2 by knockout. Both men have only 2 losses on their records but these fighters are at different points in their careers. Cruz will be rusty in his first fight back against a man you CANNOT be rusty with. Cejudo knocks out Cruz in the early rounds.
