Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers start a three-game road trip in Dallas on Sunday. The Blazers are coming in hot off of their third win in a row on Friday with a 129-110 win over Clevland. Additionaly, after going 9-14 in their first 23 games, the Mavericks have won four straight. One streak will end on Sunday.

Portland Trail Blazers

The Trail Blazers currently sit at number five in the Western Conference. A win over Dallas gives Portland a chance to tie Phoenix at number four if the Suns lose to Orlando.

Damian Lillard has had a strong start to the season averaging a team-high 29 points and 7.2 assists per game in an average of 35.8 minutes. He also averages 4.4 rebounds per game. Lillard is fifth in the NBA this season with a 94.2 free throw percentage. Lillard’s three-point percentage is at 37.8 and he attempts 10.5 per game.

The Blazers will continue to play without Lillard’s co-star, CJ McCollum. He has a foot injury that he suffered in mid-January. They will also be missing Jusuf Nurkic who injured his wrist in January. One last member of the injury report is Rodney Hood who is questionable for Sunday with a foot injury.

Carmelo Anthony is the last Blazer to average more than 10 points per game, with 13.5. Similar to Trent, Anthony’s rebounds and assists are low with 3.4 and 1.2 per game respectively. However, Anthony doesn’t have quite as impressive of a three-point percentage as Trent. Anthony’s is 39.3%.

Against New Orleans, Luka Doncic scored a double-double with a career-high 46 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds. He leads the team averaging 128.5 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, 9.4 assists, and 1.0 steal.

Kristaps Porzingis has also pulled much of the weight this season averaging 20.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. Friday was also a career night for Porzingis with 8 three-pointers made and a season-high 36 points. Porzingis looks to continue dominating on the court against the Trail Blazers.

Dallas is a deep team when it comes to scoring. They have five players averaging at least 10 points per game and ten players with at least 6 points per game.

Tim Hardaway Jr has been a notable scorer averaging 16.8 points per game and a 39.7 three-point percentage. Hardaway also contributes an average of 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
