Game 4 – 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs – Lightning Vs Bruins
Many Boston Bruins fans did not think they would be in this situation after a dominate 6-2 Game 1 WIN. Fast forward to Game 4 of this Round 2 – 2018 Stanley Cup series… this is in a must-win for the Bruins tonight.
The Boston Bruins hosts the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden tonight and are staring at a 2-1 series deficit. Things started off great but before you could blink an eye, the series completely turn on its heal. Tampa has won the last two games convincingly and has done a great job at limiting Boston’s offensive attack.
While this isn’t an excuse, the Bruins have been on the wrong side of some really bad officiating, so they’ll have to tighten up their game in order to tie the series tonight.
And while poor officiating may have taken a little wind out of their sails, the bigger issue is that this once powerful Boston offense has scored only three goals in its last two games. Needless to say, Boston is in need of a spark, and they think they have an answer: Ryan Donato.
The young forward out of Harvard hasn’t played since Game 2 of the first-round series against Toronto and didn’t play particularly well, but the hope is he can contribute the way he did down the stretch in the regular season.
The Bruins are basically in desperation mode. If they lose Game 4, they are not winning this series. That being said….
