Milwaukee Bucks Vs Houston Rockets Game Day Preview

The Portland Trail Blazers take on the Boston Celtics in a Sunday afternoon game from the NBA bubble at Disney. While the Celtics are sitting in great position for the NBA Playoffs, the Blazers are still fighting for a spot with 7 games left. Expect a high scoring affair with the scorers these two teams possess in this nationally televised game.

Bucks

The Bucks won their first game in this new NBA bubble, defeating the Boston Celtics, 119-112. Giannis Antetokounmpo was his normal dominant himself, scoring 36 and grabbing 15 boards, showing that the 4 month hiatus from the game has not slowed him down. Giannis, the likely NBA MVP this year, looks primed and ready for the playoffs. You have to wonder that crazy stats he will put up against the small ball lineup the Rockets throw out on Sunday.

With the Rockets not having a big man on the roster, Giannis will likely have a monster night against the Rockets. In fact, expect to the Bucks to dominate on rebounds and blocks this game. The difference in size between the two teams will be the deciding factor in this game. When the Bucks last played Houston back on opening night in 2019, Milwaukee won 117-111.

Rockets

Houston’s small ball lineup has shown pros and cons since it was instituted back in February. They score a ton of points but also give up a ton of points as well. For Houston to win games, they will have to play perfect offense to make up for what they are lacking on the defensive side. Take a look at their last game against the Mavericks. Houston gave up 149 points to Dallas. Yes, you read that right. 149 POINTS!!! But the Rockets still won the game because they scored 153 points. 153!!

That won’t work every night for the Rockets as past games have showed. And that was against the Mavericks. The Bucks are a better defensive team so don’t expect that type of offensive production from the Rockets this game. The Rockets’ leading scorer, Jame Harden, is averaging 34.6 points a game this season but I can’t see him hitting his average against the Bucks’ defense, especially if the “Greek Freak” defends him.

Bucks & Rockets Facts

1. Bucks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games.

2. The TOTAL has gone UNDER in 7 of the last 9 Bucks’ games.

3. Houston are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games.
