Miami Heat Vs Golden State Warriors Game Day Preview
Two exciting teams go head to head on Wednesday night. It’s Steph Curry and the Warriors facing off against Jimmy Butler and the Heat.
Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have been one of the most disappointing teams this season. Miami is coming off a disappointing 125-118 loss to the Clippers, in which Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Patrick Beverly didn’t even play. Even worse, the Heat lost despite a Jimmy Butler triple double (30 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists).
If the Heat want to beat Golden State, they have to work inside the paint. The Warriors will be without Centers James Wiseman and Kevin Looney once again. This will open up the court for Bam Adebayo to have a big game. Bam Adebayo is averaging 19.8 PPG, 5.3 APG, 9.4 RPG, 1.0 SPG, and 1.0 BPG this season.
Miami is 8-3 when out-rebounding opponents, and it’s definitely more than possible when facing a Golden State team without their top two Centers.
Golden State Warriors
Steph Curry is currently a heavy-favorite to win MVP, despite Golden State only sitting at the 8th seed. Curry is averaging 30.1 PPG, 5.9 APG, and 5.RPG, shooting 43.6% from behind the arc, and 49.9% from the field. Curry seems to be on fire every game, as he looks to continue against his counterpart, Kendrick Nunn, who isn’t a strong defensive player.
Draymond Green will also play a huge part in Wednesday’s game. Green is averaging only 5.2 PPG and 5.6 RPG in his 9th NBA season. But Green has been an amazing teammate, averaging 8.3 APG, which is 6th in the NBA.
