Detroit Red Wings Vs Tampa Bay Lightning Game Day Preview

Steven Stamkos ruled out for Game 4 of Stanley Cup final | CBC Sports
Steven Stamkos – (Tampa Bay Lightning)

The Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning puck will drop early tonight. The Wings are getting a little healthier but still, in a game being played in Tampa Bay… you still need to lay $320 big one for an opportunity to WIN $100. Of course you need to do this should you wish to lock in on the defending Stanley Cup Champions.

Detroit Red Wings

After playing the first two games of the season, Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri was informed shortly before a noon start against Columbus on Jan. 18 that he tested positive for COVID-19. He will be back in the lineup tonight and will be playing on a line with Dylan Larkin and Bobby Ryan.

“The anticipation of having other guys back gives you some energy, some confidence moving forward knowing other guys are going to get inserted into the lineup,” Coach Jeff Blashill said. “Still got to go out and execute. We have to make sure we temper our expectations of the guys coming back. We can’t expect them to shoulder too much of the load because they’ve been off for a while.”

Following the NHL’s mandatory 10-day isolation, Fabbri got back on the ice last Friday with other teammates who had COVID. He is now ready to go.

On October 28th, 2008, Steven Stamkos picked up a secondary assist on Vincent Lecavalier’s power play goal in Toronto. It was the first point of Stamkos’ career, and also the first power play point for the 18-year-old center. Now, more than twelve years and 300 power play points later, Steven Stamkos holds the franchise record for most points recorded with the extra skater. His 301 (158 goals, 143 assists) tops the marks set by Martin St. Louis (300) and Lecavalier (297).

He is now the franchise leader in five major offensive categories:

Goals – 426
Even Strength Goals – 263
Power Play Goals – 158
Power Play Points – 301
Hat Tricks – 9

Stamkos took the achievement in stride, telling reporters after the game that,

“These ones you don’t really know, to be honest. until they put it up on the scoreboard during the game and the guys start congratulating you.”

You have to like the matchup tonight for Stamkos to rack up some more points.
