Sports Gaming Will Now Take Place In Iowa
This past week, Iowa has joined the sports gaming fray by becoming the 11th state to pass Sports Gambling. Iowa residents can now place sports bets at any of their land-based casinos. On-line sports betting is not available just yet. Residents of the state can play CASH based fantasy sports games such as Fanduel & Draftkings. StatementGames is FREE to play game just like Balloon Blast, Candy Crush, Clash of Clans, etc. The recent Iowa ruling has no effect on the casual sports gaming industry.
Other Sports Gaming News – FOX & ESPN
On May 8th The Stars Group Inc. (Nasdaq; TSG) (TSX: TSGI) and FOX Sports, a unit of Fox Corporation (Nasdaq: FOXA, FOX) announced plans to launch FOX Bet, a media & sports wagering partnership. Via the partnership a few gaming products will be launched this fall. Not to be outdone, the sports network ESPN has reached an agreement with Caesars Entertainment. Through this deal ESPN will broadcast its daily sports betting show directly from the LINQ Hotel & Casino starting in 2020.
