Golden State Warriors Are Perfect – Not So Fast
Over the past few years, the Golden State Warriors have been the epitome of a perfect basketball franchise. From the ownership down to the players on the court, the Warriors run a pretty close to perfect organization, where everyone loves coming to work and praise being apart of the franchise.
Over the last week, however, the Warriors have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Golden State Warriors Verbal Altercation
Last Monday, they lost to the LA Clippers and saw two of their best players, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, get into a huge verbal altercation, causing the organization to go into disarray. Green was suspended for one game by the team and has missed the last three with a recurring toe injury.
With two All-Stars out, the other two All-Stars have struggled to find their shot. Both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson have been ice-cold shooting the ball, with both of them shooting under 35% during this stretch. Given everything that’s gone on over the last week, the back-to-back champs have not responded well. The Warriors have lost 4 of their last 5 games, went 0-3 on their recent Texas road trip, and are still without two-time MVP Stephen Curry for at least another week.
