The Miami Heat had a chance to get over the .500 mark last game, but lost against the Atlanta Hawks (94-80). It was a disappointing game, even without Jimmy Butler (knee). Bam Adebayo only had 11 points and 2 rebounds. Meanwhile, Miami’s leading scorer only had 14 points.
But Jimmy Butler is expected back on Thursday night. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald stated that Jimmy traveled to New Orleans with the team.
But Bam Adebayo has to have his “A” game against the Pelicans top defense. Adebayo has been averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists this season. His main challenge on Thursday night would be to reduce the threat of Zion Williamson inside the paint.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been an exciting team to watch this season. But they are coming off a 128-124 loss to the Chicago Bulls, a game in which the Pelicans were outrebounded 35-45. New Orleans allowed Chicago to claim 20 second-chance points, which ultimately lead to their loss.
Zion Williamson, who was named a 2021 All-Star reserve, will be the key player in Thursday night’s game. He is coming off a terrific month in which he averaged 27.3 PPG on a 64.7 FG% during the month of February.
