Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks Series/Game One Preview

NBA Fantasy Basketball

It’s Game One of the Eastern Conference Semifinals match-up between the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks. Both teams were dominant in the first round of the playoffs with Miami completing a 4 game sweep of the Indiana Pacers and the Bucks winning 4 straight against the Orlando Magic after losing game one. Both Miami and Milwaukee are great defensively so this will be a VERY competitive series. Miami took the season series 2-1.

Heat

In a series that was SUPPOSED to be evenly matched, the Heat easily dispatched on the Pacers in the first round. Miami had big contributions from everyone that played in those 4 games including Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Goran Dragic. In game 4 versus the Pacers, Adebayo had 14 points while grabbing 19 rebounds. Going against a highs scoring team like MIlwaukee, expect Adebayo to easily average a double-double in this series. Dragic contributed 23 points in that last game with Indiana so they’ll need more of that in this upcoming series. And with Jimmy Butler leading the Heat, they ABSOLUTELY have a shot at taking down the heavy-favorite Bucks team.

Bucks

Milwaukee has been the favorite to make the Finals from the East all season but if they want to make the Finals, let alone win it, they need to play better than they did in the first round. Sure they won the series with the Magic 4-1 but those games were closer than they should have been. Milwaukee should of easily swept Orlando but somehow lost game one. For Milwaukee to take down Miami, they need more contributions from everyone not named Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis is going to go out every night and score 25+ points and grab 12+ rebounds but he can’t win by himself. Khris Middleton, the other star of the Bucks, needs to step up this series. He was a non-factor for most of the series against Orlando and if that happens again, Miami will win this series.
