We did not get to see the Packers in Week 5 as they had a bye week but they remain a considerable force in the NFC. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been lights out this season, leading the league in QBR, while throwing for 1,214 yards with 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has led the charge for the Packers offense, which ranks number one in the league in points per game. They have a big test this week against Tampa Bay, who rank second in the NFL in overall defense. One big key will be to get back star wide receiver Davante Adams, who seems to be ready to return from his injury. Their offense has been rolling even with him sidelined as the fewest they’ve scored is 30.
As for their defense, it may falter against the Tom Brady led attach of the Buccaneers as they rank 14th in the NFL in average passing yards per game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay has been a mixed bag so far this season. While it has been apparent that they lack cohesiveness on the offensive side of the ball, they have still been able to have some big offensive games thus far. Things came to a grinding halt last Thursday, though, as they mustered just 19 points on the road at Chicago. The offense ranks 11th in the league in points per game this season, which is impressive given their short amount of time to get acquainted with each other. They need to get some bodies back such as Chris Godwin, Leonard Fournette and LeSean McCoy – improving the ground game is a must.
It’s still early in the year but some will view this as a must-win for the Bucs.
