The Green Bay Packers enter the NFC Championship after holding on for a win in the divisional round over the Seattle Seahawks while the San Francisco 49ers handled their business against the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers will look to get revenge for the 37-8 loss at the hands of the 49ers earlier this year.

Packers
The Packers are coming into the NFC Championship after weathering a second-half comeback attempt from Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. The Packers have relied on the running game more than ever during Aaron Rodgers’ tenure and will need Aaron Jones and company to find their regular-season form. After averaging 112 rushing yards per game in the regular season as a team, Aaron Jones only managed 62 yards on 21 attempts.
Aaron Rodgers threw for 243 yards against the Seahawks 27th ranked pass defense but will face a much stauncher test against the top-ranked 49ers pass defense. Davante Adams will be the focus of that defense of the 49ers. Led by shutdown corner Richard Sherman, Allen Lazard, Geronimo Allison, and Jimmy Graham will have to win their matchups to prevent Rodgers from holding the ball too long. Adams went off for 8 REC, 160 yards, and 2 TDs against a formidable Vikings pass defense and will need to have a similar impact to give the Packers a chance.
49ers
The 49ers handled the Vikings last week after a well-earned first-round bye. The 49ers controlled the game from start to finish and were able to contain an explosive Vikings offense, holding Dalvin Cook to 18 yards on 9 attempts. Led by an elite defensive line that is loaded with first-round picks, the 49ers were tied for 5th in the NFL with 48 sacks in the regular season. Star edge rusher Joey Bosa added two more as the 49ers got to Kirk Cousins six times in the Divisional round and will look to disrupt Aaron Rodgers similarly.
In the week 12 meeting with the Packers, George Kittle went off for 6 REC, 129 yards, and 1 TD. The 49ers defense held Rodgers to 104 passing yards and Davante Adams to 7 REC, 43 yards, and 1 TD. Jimmy Garoppolo was a clinical 14/20 with 253 yards and 2 TDs in the blowout win. The 49ers are 7-2 at Levi’s Stadium this year.
