Green Bay Packers Vs Kansas City Chiefs Game Day Preview
The showdown of star quarterbacks might have to wait, but a pair of hopeful Super Bowl contenders nonetheless will square off Sunday night as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Green Bay Packers. The Chiefs are expected to be without Patrick Mahomes, although the reigning NFL MVP remarkably has practiced this week after dislocating his kneecap in last week’s 30-6 win over Denver.
Mahomes practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday and Thursday, but he’s still a longshot to play against Green Bay. If he can’t go, Matt Moore is likely to start in his place, although the Chiefs also designated veteran Chad Henne to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, and he has shared reps in practice. The Packers have won three straight despite playing without wide receiver Davante Adams (turf toe) in all three contests, and he’s likely to sit out again on Sunday. Tight end Jimmy Graham and receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling both are battling ankle injuries but hope to suit up, and Aaron Rodgers is expected to play despite a tweaked knee.
