ESPN NYY Vs BOS Sunday Night Baseball – Hot Take

The Yankees will attempt to avoid the dreaded four-game sweep at the hands of the rival Red Sox. Domingo German takes the mound in his first start since being pounded by the Twins for 8 runs earlier this week. This is a terrible matchup for him at Fenway, where the Red Sox bats are scorching right now, with 38 runs scored in this series. Expect Boston to continue piling on the runs today. The Red Sox counter with Chris Sale, who has had a down year overall, but he’s still racking up the strikeouts, which bodes well for a strong finish. Sale has struggled vs. NYY this year, with a 6.55 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 11.0 IP. Perhaps the Bronx Bomber bats wake up in this series finale. This has the look of another high-scoring game, but given the pitching advantage with Sale, I have to pick Boston here.

Playing NYY Vs BOS On StatementGames – My Top Picks

10 Point Pick = Red Sox OVER 5.5 Runs
The Red Sox are on fire at the plate and German is struggling lately.

9 Point Pick = Yankees OVER 5.5 Runs
The Yankees have hit Sale this season and are due for a breakout performance in this series.

8 Point Pick = TOTAL RUNS OVER 10.5
This entire series has been filled with high-scoring games, so I expect that to continue tonight.

The slugfest series continues!
