ESPN LAD Vs BOS Sunday Night Baseball – Hot Take
The rubber match features a great pitching matchup with two of the best lefties in baseball. Ryu is a Cy Young candidate, but he has not been as dominant on the road, with 2.98 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 45.1 innings. The Red Sox have a great lineup, ranking 2nd in Runs and 4th in OPS. However, they have struggled vs. lefties, with a .750 OPS, good for 17th in MLB. While this favours Ryu, Fenway Park is one of the toughest places to pitch, so I’d call this an even matchup. The Dodgers also have a strong lineup, ranking 7th in Runs and 3rd in OPS. Their OPS falls to 9th best against left-handed pitchers. David Price has had a solid season and the bandbox that is Fenway has not affected his numbers – 3.06 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 32.1 innings at home. The Dodgers have the advantage in the bullpen, ranking 9th in team ERA, while Boston is 16th best in MLB. The Red Sox have surprisingly been a below-.500 team at home. I think that this record will start to normalize, as it’s rare to see a contending team struggle so much at home. Ryu has been great, but you have to assume some regression in his numbers, because he’s never been this dominant in his career. I think Boston gets it done tonight.
Playing LAD Vs BOS On StatementGames – Tournament Winner Receives BigGuy Fantasy Sports 2019 NFL Consistency Guide! My Top Picks
10 PT Pick = The Dodgers WILL NOT Win by OVER 1.5 RUNS
I like the Red Sox to win this game outright, so this is a no-brainer, 10 point pick.
9 PT Pick = David Price OVER 6.0 Innings
We saw fellow lefty teammate Eduardo Rodriguez mow down this Dodgers lineup. I expect a similar quality start from Price.
8 PT Pick = Dodgers UNDER 3.5 Runs
I think that Price will pitch 7 strong innings and limit this Dodgers’ offense.
